As the caretakers of our own special animals, including pets and livestock, we understand the importance of reliable and trustworthy care while you're away. We offer drop-in farm and pet-sitting services to Iredell County, North Carolina. We cater to your animal's unique needs to ensure your pet is given the attention it deserves. We provide full complimentary quotes and "meet-and-greets" prior to service.

Farm Visits

We provide drop-in care for your farm animal needs, including horses, goats, pigs, chickens, barn cats, and dogs, just to name a few. We have experience treating senior pets with the extra special attention they often need. We also have experience in the proper management of caretaking equines with heaves and PPID. We've got four horses of our own, so we know just how important horse care really is.

Small Animal Care

Small pets might be tiny, but they have big personalities! From bunnies to hamsters and hedgehogs, we understand that every small pet has their own unique needs and preferences. Our small animal care includes daily feeding, freshening water, enclosure checks, and a general well-being assessment. We can also let out and bring in from extended enclosures or playpens for daily exercise.

Drop-In Doggy Care

We know your pooch can't wait for you to be home, but in the meantime we are happy to give them the attention they need. Belly rubs, and leash walks, meals and play time are all part of what we do. If your pet also requires medications or a specialized diet, we are happy to follow your specific instructions to keep your pet healthy.

Exotic Pet Care

Our scaled and feathered friends deserve love too! While you're away, we can care for your tortoises, parrots, and aquariums. We will follow your instructions for daily care, including habitat maintenance, food prep, and environmental enrichment.

Cat Care

Those precious felines might like to spend most of their time snoozing, but for meals and head scratches, we are here for you. We can work out a drop-in schedule for short—or long-term visits. And because we "get it," your cat will get the interaction it desires. We can also provide medication administration, including insulin injections.

FAQs

Does Perrydise Pet-sitting offer overnight stays? No, because of our obligations to our own herd at our hobby farm we are not able to dedicate nights away. We will however, provide multiple drop-in visits to ensure your animal's safety and comfort while you're away!

What does drop-in farm visits include? Drop-in farm visits are customized to your unique farm set up. For some that may look like a once daily pasture/enclosure check to ensure the animals are healthy, have access to water and top off feeders or provide a grain ration. For others that may include two or more daily visits, grain/feed prep & distribution, and turn-in/turn out. We are also happy to fill hay nets, collect eggs, open/close coops, prep feed, and administer oral or mix in medications. We discuss your farm's individual needs during a complimentary meet-and-greet to ensure we are a good fit and provide a quote.
